It appears that I will have to put Miss Molly away for the winter until I
have the time and additional funds (we poor college students/single
parents have a distinct lack of bucks) to replace her her oil pump. She
doesn't get driven in the cold and snow, not because of the discomfort,
but because bad weather, for some reason, seems to attract idiots who are
bent on proving that they cannot drive.
We are having some absolutely wonderful weather right now, days in the
mid to high 80s, and nights ranging from 50 to 65 -- perfect for
pleasure driving. As I will be unable to enjoy the last of the driving
season here, I would ask that every subscriber to the list immediately
and frequently take a frivolous drive to no place in particular. When
you return, post your views on the experience as to assist in my
withdrawal. Better to live vicariously than not to live at all!
Of course, those of you who are really concerned about my well being are
encouraged to loan me your (MGA, MGB, TC, TD, Midget, etc -- fill in the
blank) until Miss Molly is back on her tires. Heck, I'll even come pick
it up.
