 I'm thinking of installing a battery cutoff switch in the trunk when the
 time comes...  although setting the clock on the radio would get a bit
 tedious.

  The cutoff switch I got from MOSS (The one with the round knob.  Still
not installed...) has a connector for things that still need power
when the rest is cut off, such as burglar alarms or radio clocks...
