Trevor is absolutely right. Another thing to keep in mind is not to
shy away from a car just because the paint is shot, is several
different colours, or there are small dings here and there. Unless
the paint is perfect and the colour is the exact one you want, you'll
probably be re-doing the paint and bodywork anyway, so why pay more
for a nice finish just to strip it off later? The same reasoning
hold true for interior upholstery. Unless it's perfect, you'll
probably want to replace it, so why pay more for good
seats/dash/carpet when you'll be replacing it as part of the
restoration?
