Dont know about the pistons, the engine is a rebuilt unit that was in the
car when i got it.
if the PO is to be believed the engine would now be about 4-5  yrs old,
it is very "tight"
-even compression over all 4 and running oil pressure of about 80
not running hot - in fact a little below normal as i havnt changed the
'stat yet.
This is a noise which has developed over a couple of months - 
Im going to richen the carbs a little this weekend to see if that helps
even more than
the choke!
oh....anyone got any jet-fuel??!!
