I'm in the process of renewing my 1965 MGB suspension. I'm interested in what I
can do to improve the handling.

It used to have anti-tramp bars on the rear, but my mechanic told me that they
were preventing the spring from moving properly. The anti-tramp bars have gone.
I have new springs all round, the 3/4" anti-roll bar on the front, and the
steering rack has been rejuvenated.

The car now steers slightly differently in one direction from the other. The
rear hops around on bumps in hard cornering. The drivers side seems to sit
lower at the front. I'm not too worried about these things yet because the
final alignment and tightening hasn't been done.

Some of the local MG people tell me that negative camber bushes are a
worthwhile addition. My mechanic works on lots of racing cars, and he doesn't
like the idea of fitting these bushes without at least finding out how much
they change the camber. Nobody seems to know, they just say to fit them. Any
comments on these bushes? Any comments on anything else to make my car a superb
handler?
