Actually, I've got an ambition to travel across the US on a Harley.
Probably fueled by Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainence and that
Neil Young song about the foxy chick in the diner; "She rides a Harley
Davidson, her long blonde hair flying in the wind"
The reality would probably be crap: hot, dusty and uncomfortable!
I did actually did this trip - both ways - in a Ford LTD, what a barge
that was! Had a wonderful time and was impressed at the hospitality of
the natives.
