OK, here's the deal: Rambler became AMC, who also imported some Renault
models. This whole mess was bought out by Chrysler along with the Jeep
product line. The Eagles are in effect, rebadged Mitsubishis. I wonder if
they got the moniker from the old AMC Eagle? Anyway, from what I've heard,
Chrysler is 86ing the name. I think the Vision is the only one left. (LHS
clone) I worked in a Jeep/Eagle dealership until this summer, that's where
I get my info.

Justso I have some MG content: I read the post about the MGB/GT with the
hole in the muffler. It reminded me about last summer when I was chasing a
Miata down a highway in my '79 B when my exhaust broke just forward of the
front resonator, hit the pavement, and ripped clean off the car. I
actually LIKED the way it sounded. At least nobody could say that they
didn't know I was there. Pulled up to a stoplight, and there was some
teenager in a Geo Storm, with what looked like about a 6 inch megaphone
exhaust. He revved it, and it sounded almost exactly like my echo weed
trimmer. As I'm not too mature for these things, I returned fire. I hope I
didn't hurt his ego too much. I soon installed one of those slick Monza
type exhausts on it, now I can actually hear myself think while I drive,
but will still set off those over-sensitive car alarms if I blip the
throttle. I love doing that. Does that make me a bad person?
