Richard,

In the best case your sending unit is clodged with oil rests.
I had this on my Honda CB350. Worked on the aluminium pump for several
hours, but still found the oil pressure switch on at low RPM and warm
engine. I decided to clean the switch, and it helped.

Worst case is a worn engine. I hope this is not the case.
