Hi all.
Went to the Ventura british car meet today,the weather was perfect and a
lot of LBCs were there a really nice 73 BGT that had a ford V6 in it
flared wheel wells and a killer BRG metallic paint job!A nice 56 AC Ace,
a ,56 Jag Le Mans race car and the high point was when we heard this car
coming in that sounded like a WW2 airplane it turned out to be Jay Leno
in a 1935 RR with a custom body powered by a RR V12 SPITFIRE engine!!!
Jay said it was built in england about 15 years ago by 2 brothers it has
a wooden and aluminum body,it is going at 700 rpm at 70 mph!!He siad
they had it up to 135 mph once and chickened out!The Ventura car club is
to commended on a nice meet( they even had a bagpiper!)All in all a nice
day was had by all!
