I needed to create an overdrive harness last year
and bought all of the wire I needed from British
Wiring. They sell Lucas color coded wire in just
about any gauge you want. Good prices on new
harnesses, and they have any type of LBC wiring
widget you can imagine. They also have a small catalog. Address and addtl
comments snipped from
the monster list:

10 October 1997 This is the best place I know to get
proper Lucas color coded wire, harnesses and
connectors. You can get wiring in PVC or cloth insulation, in all the original
sizes and color
combinations, and then some, along with bullet
connectors, various coverings, grommets in rubber
or PVC, proper cadmium coated harness clamps ... you
name it, they have it in stock or will order it from
the UK. As far as I can tell, there is no minimum length order for wiring -
figure out what you need
and get it by the foot.
