At the risk of sounding like a smart A**, the most fool-proof way is to
reach into your wallet, pull out the charge card, and call your favorite
parts purveyor and order a new or remanufactured MC.
 Given the age of the cylinders on LBC's, the odds on finding excessive
pitting are very good, and this pitting will preclude the DIYer from
getting a satifactory job.
 An alternative is to have your MC resleeved and rebuilt by one of the
specialists, such as Apple Hydraulics or White Post restorations.
