That sounds really expensive to me.
From my experience, Canadian prices and American prices are about
the same after the exchange rate. $5500 CDN for a rusty RBB sounds
very high. I got my "rough" CBB for $500CDN and it was a licensed
running driver for still under $1000.
If he's near Ottawa, send him here I'll find him a car.
