I just changed the fuel pump on my 76 Midget. Now when I press the
accelerator hard, it wants to heesitate and feels like its going to
choke down. It doesn't do this if I accelerate very softly. Also, if I
get to going real fast (45-50) and then stop, it idles at around 5000rpm
(normally 10-15000) and then wants to shut down.
As a side note, everyone (on the list) is always making fun of the
rubber bumper midget but it came in handy when I lost the fuel pump the
other day. I had some one push me with their truck and saved a $50
towing charge. try that with a chrome bumper!
