Hi Dan,
That's really strange because my 74 has the Red Dot snaps and studs.
It's only been painted since new. Makes me wonder if they broke off.
They are located about an inch below the rear deck off center by two
inches.

My 73 doesn't have those studs down there either and nothing's been
replaced...I'm thinking they weren't there to begin with, only on older
models.
