Nina - could be the cable isn't taking the smoothest path to the back of the 
speedo 
through the forest at the back of the dash.  Seem to remember I had a similar 
problem 
till I rerouted it.  Don't think there is an angle drive at the back of the 
dash, only 
on the gearbox.
