Yep, all of those 250 Canadian LE's had the number plate on the glove
box.  I'm not sure where the engraving was done though.  The plaque
looks exactly like the US model one with the exception of the
engraved portion at the bottom (e.g. #15 0f 250).  Hard to imagine
the Canadian importer going to the trouble to remove the factory
plaque and get it engraved before sending the car off to the selling
dealer.  My guess is that it would have been done in the factory.

And now my question - I recently acquired a very rusty Canadian LE
that one of the previous owners has removed the plaque from.  How
does a person determine what number this car should be?  The serial
number is GHN5UL492754 .  Maybe those on the list with Canadian LE's
could email me with their serial number and LE number to help me
narrow the search down.  At this stage, from previous cars owned,
all I can tell is that it is later than #51.
