I would use a standard torque value for the thread size. The main thing is to
maintain the end float clearance of .002 max. You will need to try differant
thrust washer thicknesses to obtain this clearance. Check HAynes Manual p 210
#14. I also applied some RTV silcone over the exposed threads after the
clearance is set. This helps protect the threads for future disassembly and
also prevents loosening of the nut.
