I am SO happy. Today in New England is Beautiful weather... It's about 68
degrees, sunny, breezy, and poofy clouds are floating by way up there on
the sky. This was my last chance to get my B out before winter with the top
down, and of course, I took advantage of it. These past weeks have been
dingy and rainy and horrible if you want to drive a sportscar. But today
was all smiles.
I put on my british driving cap and airplane goggles and hit the
streets. Never before did I realise how much fun that little car is,
because I never really opened it up or took a hard turn after I replaced my
engine. Now that it has 1500 miles on it, I think it's safe to have a
little fun :)
I went to a tag sale, and all these people were looking at my B. It
was a nice feeling to own something that I love, and have other people
appreciate it. Heads turned as I drove along, and these people at a
little Deli pointed as I came screaming around a 35 mph corner. Sorry,
dad.
I haven't drivin around with the top down in too long, because I
purchased a hard top around 3 months ago and never took it off. Before the
hard top purchase, the car had been in an accident and was off the road
for another 3 months.
I'll tell you, you appreciate things so much more when they're gone.
Like the Joni Mitchell song, "You don't know what you got 'till it's gone."

To top it all off, I'm one of those audiophiles, and have installed a
kick-ass stereo including a 12" seald box subwoofer behind the seats sitting
in between 2 very high quality 6x9 co-axial speakers in their own boxes,
with a set of $250 component speakers for the doors. The 4 speakers have
their own 25 watt/channel amplifier (real watts, not circuit watts), and
of course, the 4 ohm subwoofer has it's own 100 watt amp as well.
