On Friday, I had the good fortune to spot TWO MG's!
I was driving my non-LBC in Bloomfield, NJ, and saw a black MGA about 1/2
mile in front of me... I caught up with him and pulled alongside at a
traffic light. It was a '58 coupe in very nice shape, (except a tad
dusty). Chrome wires and drivers side mirror...
I chatted for long enough to find out that he's a member of the Long Island
Club. He (and his co-pilot) said they haven't been to shows this year as
he works onb week-ends. Oh well. i tried to encourage him.
Then five minutes later I saw a flat bed from 1/4 mile away pulling into a
side street with what looked like a T series on the back. This was in
Clifton NJ. It was painted red and white and looked to have racing numbers
on the doors. Needed restoration, from what little I could see (damned
traffic!).
Does anyone know him?
