The brown network in the engine compartment is linked to the brown
network behind the dash with a single wire.  I had a problem in my V8
where there was "no click, clunk, no ignition light" and it proved to be
a bad connection at the dash end of that wire.  That's if the heavy
current connections and where the brown picks up its 12v from them all
prove to be OK.
