I wouldn't take such comments too seriously. There are plenty of people
here who do drink Fosters as is evident by the sales figures. I too prefer
Victoria Bitter (same company as Fosters), but I can happily drink the
Foster's special, Carlton Cold, or Melbourne Bitter.
It's funny, people get funny about beers, just like cars. Arguments about
beers sound just like the old MG v Triumph or Midget vs B arguments!
However, I just can't stomach XXXX or Tooths or Reichs or Swan beer -
they are just undrinkable pig swill and an embarrassment to Australian
beer! :-)
