I concur! It must be zinc chromate. I've used the stuff plenty of times in
the military (U.S. Coast Guard). It stands up great in salt water. I've seen
zinc chromate in two different colours...pea green and the common yellow
variant.

I think you are right Fred. It sounds like zinc chromate to me. This is an
excellent primer used extensively in the marine industry and especially on
aluminum.
