Hah! I have a '67 B sitting down in the garage with a metal dash, banjo axle,
nothin' but a PCV valve, and backup lights. The new Moss Motors wiring harness
in it came with the wires for the backup lights. The '67 B I sent to Norway had
backup lights, a tube rearend, and a master cylinder cover with the tapped boss
for the pedal-operated brake light switch. BMC must have started installing
backup lights during the '67 model year.
Not to nitpick or anything... ;-)
