Dave,

Basic electricity. Wire a red warning lamp into one line. If the light is
on...OD power...if light is off...no OD power.

Subject: non od and OD trannys

At a recent seminar held by the Eastern NY MGA Club at Quantum Mechanics
in Monroe CT, it was again advised DO NOT use hypoid 90 weight in your
OD boxes! The pump is working at about 400psi. Stick with a staight
weight non-detegent 30 weight oil. A multigrade will cause foaming and
air through the OD pump is not good.
Also, John, the owner said that 50% of the rebuilds he sees are caused
by driving in reverse with the OD still energized! Once that happens,
you get a loud BANG and goodbye OD. I'm putting them into my 67BGT and
the 64B and maybe the A coupe, but I'd like to wire a warning light
letting me know there is no current going to the OD for sure!
Any ideas how to do that, group?

Cheers,
Dave Houser
