If the Engine number has an Engine number with an 'H' in it for example:

18GJRWEH - it is a High compression motor, if it's an L it's low
compression.

I beleive the pistons are interchangeable, and a good way to improve
performance. Lawrie mentioned that a while back, I haven't drive a LC car,
but my HC is no express train <G>.
