Hi Neil

Sounds like Barney answered the question about the copper sleeves...

With the MG engines, I have always used nylon straps like a sling around the
front and rear of the engine. I know many people bolt a chain to a convenient
spot, but that never sat well with me, and with my nylon straps, I can adjust
the angle easier.

One bit of personal preference, the last time I took a B engine out without the
gear box, I had a devil of a time getting it back in. I finally took out the
transm and attached it to the engine, then the whole thing went in easily. After
4 hours of struggling (by myself too), I will never do it separately again.

Good luck
