I have to step in here (or step IN it here..)
The TR7 did not kill the MG... it did kill the Spitfire!
The Spit had won 12 out of 13 years in a row in its SCCA classes
in production racing. In the later years of the 70's they started
running BL's idea of the 'shape of things to come'
and lost their shirt at the track
It was the first time in seven straight years the Spit didn't win.
they should have stuck with Spit.
