Opinions seem to vary as to what is best and i defer tp the professionals
for the tru story but two things im sure of
1)if it has a new cam - and knowing that engine im sure it does! - it
needs to be run initially for about 20-30 minutes at a consistent engine
speed of about 2500rpm
i.e. just sit in it start it put your foot on the accelerator and take a
nap!
2)The head gasket needs a certain numbr of temperature changes before
retorquing,
its not a matter of just running it once for a couple of hundred miles,
it needs to be run 8-10 times from cold to fully warmed up for a total
of a couple of hundred (some say 500) miles
