The tach is fed from the green circuit, not the stabiliser, however the
stabiliser and hence the other gauges are also fed from the green, do these
drop also? Do other circuits fail at the same time? Do you know which
circuit the deck is fed from? Could be a dodgy fuse or connection.

My 72' B has a new and bizarre problem that I just can't figure out.
The situation is this: About a year and a half ago, I had a aftermarket
Pioneer CD deck installed. For the last 2 or 3 months, the deck's power
will just turn off at random times. In conjuction with this, the Tach
jumps up around 4k, bounces a bit, and drops down to 0, basically just
quitting altogether. So, everytime the Tack does this, the CD deck
shuts off, at the exact same time. After between 30 secs to 2 mins, the
deck will turn back on and the Tack will work as well. Any ideas here?

Thanks,

-Brent
