Hi James,
There aren't any screws in the knobs.
It's actually a spring loaded pin on the cable that engages a hole in the 
knob. 
If the pin is rusted......very often they won't budge.....drop some Blaster 
or WD-40 down the hole and let it sit overnight with the hole up. This should 
free up the pin.
Take your smallest pin drift (square ended punch) and depress the pin until 
the knob slides off.
