Hey Gang!

Anyone out there need a REALLY NICE Morris Minor 1000 van??? It is not
cheap. One of tho old Morris Owners Association of California members
(that club merged with the Morris Minor Registry in 1977!) called and is
considering selling his van. This is a ground up resto that was done twice
about ten years ago and has not been driven more than a couple of thousand
miles since. It is pro built and features a Datsun 1400/5-speed/disc
brakes/Vega wheels and is NICE, NICE, NICE! BMW blue paint.

The story is that Phil, working with Bruce Wyman at Morriservice (when it
was in California) built a van for Phil's industrial refrigeration
business. A few years later the van was broadsided by a Kawasaki doing 90
and totaled - we were able to extract a bunch of dough from the insurance
company so we went looking for a replacement body - all that was available
at the time was rough full resto projects and a few expensive, sloppy
redone cars SO, Phill bought a VERY expensive, prize winning Morriservice
built, totally stock, restored van from a Palo Alto antique store, took it
apart, painted it in his company blue colour and put it back together with
his updated mechanicals. This is probably one of the nicest vans available
in the world - looks stock except for the blue painted Vega wheels.
PRICE $10,000 - but he probably will negotiate. He is not on-line so you
must call.
