Just a suggestion, I have always jacked up the car by these points with
the door open. Works fine, doesn't dent anything. Of course, I may be

No, no, no! You need to learn the exact angle of outward lean to which
you need to position the jack (depending on type of surface) so that at
full extension it is perfectly vertical.
