$1500.00 may be a good buy if...there is no rust in the floors,or very
minimal rust..floor pans are avaialible ,but a little costly..The rear
interior should be very rust free..There is a major rust area that is easily
hidden..the area is around the arches of the rear wheels...The engine can be
a little rough,but if it runs all the better..The transmission should be
pretty good in this car..if not, they can be a little costly to
repair..BUT..there are lots of good , used trannys out here..they cost some
$500.00 and up..an overdrive transmission is a fair bit more..The sterring
rack in a $1500.00 car should be good..suspension bushings are fairly
inexpensive and easy to install..The bumper mounts should be good..they can
be tricky to repair..Brakes and clutch hydroulics are fairly easy to repair,
if a little costly for a complete over haul.
All in all, a $1500.00 GT may be a good buy..I pais $1500.00 for mine.It
has a little rust, a fair engine, good interior(brand new cloth covered
seats), a fine transmission, good brakes and good glass(tinted black(very
catching on this body style), and a water tight sun roof(well done and an
addition to this body style)
