The weekend of my 21st birthday there was a Healey convention in Mt. Shasta.
My very fair skinned redheaded girlfriend and I drove back from Mt. Shasta
to Davis, on my Birthday with the top down. It was aobut a 3 hour drive.
She was so roasted from the trip I spent the night of my 21st Birthday
alone. And btw, Davis (a college town near Sacramento) is absolutely
dead on Labor Day weekend. I tried going to a couple bars (alone),
but they were all practically deserted.

My favorite was "Getting on your knees will put you in good standing".
I certainly don't think they intended it to mean what went through
my mind.
