        Unlike the speedometer, the odometer is a direct gear drive.  The
gearing system to the odometer from the transmission main shaft has no
ability to overdrive, so it is unlikely to be the culprit.  My guesss is
that the peg drive system in the odometer mechanism itself is the culprit,
each peg causing the odometer read out to double click.
