1 (1983). Many matchbox cars - my favourite was a yellow Citroen 2CV like
the one used in James Bond's You Only Live Twice
2. (1996) VW Golf GL (1981) - my Mum's rusty automatic, but a lovely car to
drive. We replaced the wings and the next week the big end went.
3. (1998) VW Golf CL (1982) - my mates Golf, mine for a holiday. Not quite
as powerful as the above but in great shape. These Mk 1 Golfs are future
classics (if not already).
4. (1999) Morris Traveller 1000 (1964) - my brothers car and mine for 6
months. I hadn't planed a restoration project! New gearbox, alternator,
windscreen wiper motor, valves re bored twice, and fuel cap. Now resting in
a yard with my families myself. I've had it a week know and am besotted.
Still haven't got it out of London onto the open roads!
