You sound like you can not get them to release from the spindle arm. Corect?? 
Use a tierod pickle fork or back up the spindle arm with a large hammer head, 
then have somene strike the opposite side of the spindle arm with a good size 
ballpeen. It may take several blows to release the taper pin of the tie rod. 
Do not try hammering up on the TR threaded pin, all you will do is damage the 
threads and internals of the TR. Once it pops, Break the lock nut, count the 
turns to remove and change the gaiter boot. reinstall to the original 
position and complete the installation. Your Toein alignment my need to be 
checked. Good Luck.
