If your B is anything like my 71 B the antenna is between the fender(wing?)
and the mud protector. Not a fun job. I replaced mine by doiing the
following:
removed old antenna BUT taped a strong thin cord to the plug-into-the-radio
end, You will need to remove the interior kick panel and the (hopefully
there) weather plug that the antenna cable goes through;
Removed and taped the cord to the new antenna cable;
Inserted the new an antenna through the top of the fender. It will go, may
need a bit of coaxing, but it will go;
Guided the antenna cable through the wall, replaced everything and enjoyed
the radio.
