I've heard similar things about Motorhead. High quality, high prices. Take
a look at the asking prices for the vehicles that they occaisonally restore
and sell through their website. What you are paying for is teir experience,
their alledgedly vast collection of NOS, no longer manufactured parts, and
they've also been known to give free advice to their customers over the
telephone, and they've kept me from ordering unnecessary parts when I was
having ignition problems last year.

I get the impression that they get lonely over the winter (maybe you could
bargain with them then) but they have no shortage of work during the rest of
the year.

If it makes you feel better, you could watch their tune-up video and laugh
at Gail's hair.
