My local city put on a heritage car show today that was basically
unadvertised except in the local weekly newspaper, but drew 60 or 70 fine
old automobiles which included a very nice MGA Mk II, 3 early B's and a very
nice 53 TD. I enjoyed talking with the owners and was jealous of the
beautiful paint jobs on all of the cars. Also of interest were several
Alfas and a great 327 Cobra, which the owner drove home. Most of the cars
were American made with a number of model A's, some with souped up flat
heads and some with ohv V8's and some were stock. Several nice 50's and
60's Corvettes, at least three beautifully restored Woodys a RHD Astin
Martin DB2, which came home with a winner's cup, a very nice old Rolls, a
cute Mini and lots more. I think it was successful enough that the city
will make this an annual event although I doubt that it will remain a free
admission. I have to admit that it's been a great day to observe lbcs.

I drove from Lakes Oswego (near Portland) to Seattle Friday and came back
Saturday and didn't see a single MG, what a bummer, so today was great for
viewing my favorite cars.
