When I slow down after driving the MGB for a while at speed it gives
off this whining sound. If I hit the gas pedal and accelerate it goes
away and as soon as I let off the pedal it returns and it will finally
stop after some slow driving. It seems to come from the left side of
the engine compartment. Everything works fine, just curious what it
might be. I am guessing the sound comes from around the carb area.
Also, drove the car in very rainy conditions this weekend and it ran
so much better, except the O/D gave up the ghost again.
