Broke mine (fortunately only one ratchet tooth) on a similar sized nut some
time ago - no breaker bar or hammer, just me.  I now use the sliding drive
on the tommy-bar for those.  Both sides of the tube axle are right-hand,
much to the surprise of the professional mechanic who I had to get to undo
one side, fortunately I was watching him at the time.
