Dear Boink

I do have 2 later model MG's, a chrome bumpered Midget and a rubber bumpered
B. I have to admit I know little to nothing about TC's. I do know that
there are quite a few around the country, and there are other resources that
can help you. One is the MG List you can sign up for via
"majordomo@autox.team.net". I am not at my home computer, and I can't tell
you exactly how to sign on directly. There is also a MG webring, which will
put you in touch with other TC owners.

I do know there are many MG resources all around, including the internet.
Most of us MG owners aren't mechanics by choice, but gain expertise through
on the job training, and fixing things ourselves. So don't let your lack of
experience stop you. Restoring a TC would be a job, I think.

Good luck

Dear David:

'Happened upon you on the Net. Assistance, please: I am a former owner of
multiple MGB's and am presently seriously contemplating the purchase of a
'48 MG TC, all original (including paint) in apparent excellent condition
and performance (72K miles). I am an architect...not a mechanic.

Undoubtedly the car will become a project (as most MG's become). The car
will be for weekends and the like. Am I out of my mind in considering
purchasing such a vehicle re parts availability, etc? Your thoughts would
be appreciated. Thanks.
