In the continuing saga of my recently wrecked 71 MGBGT, I am still waiting
to hear from the responsible party and/or their insurance company. In the
meantime, I have decided to look for a donor car, preferably a roadster of
the same or near same year, although I suppose anything 68-74 would work to
host all my good mechanical parts from the BGT.
I have one lead in the Chicago area but no matter where the donor is to be
found, its a safe bet that I'll either have to drive at least 1000
miles or alternately, I'd have to have it shipped. So if I was to obtain
the donor project from Chicago or parts nearby, what shipping companies are
available to ship it to Montana? Just in case, I don't want to make the
1300 mile drive.
Any other leads on a good project car - moderate to no rust if possible,
blown engine, non-running, cheap?
