No one has mentioned flex hoses, this for the clutch at least should be
replaced, particularly if you are working on the slave anyway.

For clutch bleeding I had read many tales of how difficult it is so didn't
even try doing it the 'normal' way.  I used a Gunsons Eezi-Bleed but to fill
the empty system from the slave nipple using very low pressure.  Just wached
in the m/c till the fluid rose above the piston, topped off, instant full
travel.

For the brakes there are several techniques but the one that seems to work
best on both my cars is to use the Gunsons in the normal way to fill and
bleed the system - starting with the LH rear, then RH rear, LH front and RH
front (on an RHD).  However that always leaves  long travel that can be
'pumped up'.  So my assistant stands on the brake pedal while I whip open
each front bleed nipple in turn.  It is surprising how much more air gets
blasted out under the higher pressure, and it always results in a firm
pedal.
