I'm not familiar with MGAs to any great degree, but I'll assume you have
the same inertial type starter that I have in my '65 B.  These gears and
armatures are no longer available, so rebuilding can be problematic.  

I use a fellow in Seattle, Bob at Precision Electric, 425-486-5400.  He
is a certified Lucas repair shop, and rebuilt mine for $100, including a
good used armature that he refurbished.  He has a supply of parts for
these old beasts, unlike most folks.
