That is the number quoted for the 308GTB dry sump pump.  I assume it
means,
since it is a maximum flow rate, that that is the flow rate with the
pressure on
the
limiter.  The engine holds 6 bar pressure at 2000 rpm, 5 bar at idle.
As the
max on my engine never exceeds 6 bar (center scale on the olio pressure
gauge)
even at peak rpm (7700 on the 308) my call is that the 1/2 pint per
second
number
is reached at pretty low rpm.  Ferraris never suffer from poor
lubrication --
unless
your oil filter blows!  :-P

No harder data than that.  Sorry.
