A non-OD has a tapered tube from the back of the gearbox to the prop-shaft flange on which sits the gear-shift remote-control housing. An O/D box has a shorter, non-tapered casting on which sits the gear-shift remote-control housing, then a big lump between there and the prop-shaft flange. The big lump is the O/D. It should have a wire coming out of it and a 'Laycock' makers plate. PaulH. [This message delayed, as it needed manual intervention by the list administrator. mjb.] |
