Could also be caused by an over hot running engine, is the 
timing set up ok. or carbon build up around the valves maybe. But you 
could also try cooler plugs first.
I had the same problem once but cant remember now what cured it, cant 
recall buying a new valve so maybe one of my above suggestions did 
the trick.
