Yep, I've read the horror stories about grounding and meltdowns. I'm only
running the one right side fog lamp as optional on earlier cars. I think
though, in a break from originality, that on the power line I make from
the headlamp harness to the fog lamp I will include an inline fuse tucked
up somewhere out of site.
